Iron Age House Venne
In 2008 a farmstead of pre-Roman Iron Age was reconstructed in Venne. The project’s aim is to take people interested in archaeology back 2,300 years ago in order to experience Iron Age life and environment. On 3,000 m² visitors may become acquainted with typical crop plants and old domestic animals of the time. Farming and crafts are depicted. Guests may even re-enact the old crafts in special courses. The house is open for visitors every Sunday in summer. Special events are scheduled and overnight stay in the house upon request is planned.
