Site 31: Megalithic Grave Steenberg (31)
South east of Hatten hidden behind some trees and surrounded by vast fields lies a megalithic grave called Steenberg (Steenberg = low German “stone mountain”). The grave chamber is impressive 16 metres long. Most orthostats still exist, but they are either displaced or toppled over. Six capstones have fallen into the chamber. Only fragments are recognisable of the oval surrounding.
