Site 6: Oestringen Stones (6a+b)
Oestringen Stones are situated in the beautiful Nette valley just outside Osnabrück. The adjacent Graves I and II are at the wayside. The monuments are greatly overgrown and though many orthostats, cap stones and kerb stones still exist, the graves are in generally poor condition. A precise reconstruction will therefore take considerable effort. Originally the grave chambers were probably at least 15 metres long each.
